Using the Gene Expression Filter

The Gene Expression Filter highlights those cells that have the highest probability of gene expression using a heat map color scale (from low/blue to high/red). For more detailed information about the algorithms and processes used to generate the filter data, refer to the documents "Informatics Data Processing" and "Automated Gene Expression Detection."

Note: Not all images within an image series contain Gene Expression Filter data. For these images, the Gene Expression Filter button is dimmed.

To view expression analysis:

• When viewing thumbnails, click the "Show expression image preview" button on the image toolbar.
• Open the image of interest in the image viewer tool and choose "Show expression analysis" on the context menu.
